About 30 years ago, a couple relocated from South Africa to Perth to contribute to the local mining industry. Phil and Viv Snowden set up a mining consultancy called Snowden in 1987 to offer geological consulting services to the mining companies. What started as small consulting business three decades ago has now turned into a successful multinational mining and resource services company with offices all over the world, delivering top-notch services across the mining life cycle.
The company’s competence lies in resource geology, mine planning, corporate advisory, data management, software development, and project management. Snowden has designed the best of breed software systems such as Neuroverse, Reconcilor, Supervisor, and Regulator. Built on Microsoft platform, Neuroverse assists mining professionals to make the right decision while Reconcilor integrates data from various sources and analyses the operational performance. Further, Supervisor resolves the geological issues in lesser time and is a great tool for the resource estimation professionals. Accurate and timely reporting and management of the resources is the job of the Regulator tool.

Till date, the company has successfully undertaken more than 12,000 projects around the world through the delivery of data management, operational improvement system, and operational assessment solutions. These solutions improve the decision-making process by ensuring that data is precise and accessible.

With a team located in Perth, Brisbane, and Johannesburg, Snowden is obliged to its employees and customers who have taken the business to greater heights. The team has invested their time and technical skills in company’s growth and progressing services. Snowden’s customers have provided different challenges and projects which helped the company to grow further. Moving ahead, the company aims to create opportunities for stakeholders in mining projects, operations, and investments with the best solutions that eliminates intricacies, boost efficiency, and unlock latent value.
