    Sumosor IT: Simplifying Supply Chain

CIO VendorBobby Warouw, Director and Co-founder
An Indonesian distribution company was facing issues regarding the management of orders and defining the delivery path according to the orders. Sumosor IT’s Transport Management System (TMS) proved to be a path-breaker in addressing these issues. TMS allowed them to optimize the capacity of cost with the type of delivery vehicle and also check which vehicles would be navigable on which routes and then plan the delivery vehicle and routes automatically by leveraging the logic that has already been included in the system. Sometimes, trucks have to carry more than their advised capacity to reach their target. To meet this requirement, TMS allows the truck to carry the extra load when necessary. "This helped them reduce their number of delivery vehicles by 30 percent within six months,” adds Vera, Director of Operation at Sumosor IT. Additionally, they were also able to monitor deliveries and make amends in case of failed deliveries. This is one of the many success stories that Sumosor IT has been able to sculpt due to their high-quality products.

With a clear vision to move forward and adapt new technologies, Indonesia-based Sumosor IT focuses on delivering and supporting complete end-to-end supply chain solutions. These solutions are widely proven and are used by reputable companies like Toyota, Danone, Ikea, and so on. They provide solutions for supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, automotive, retail, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), public listed companies, MNCs, and so on. Their solutions, used by Tier 1 companies, are proven to have worldwide standards. “The strength of our solutions lies in their ability to amalgamate the worldwide standards with local content to make it suitable for the APAC market which otherwise would mean high-cost modifications,” says Bobby Warouw, Director and Co-Founder of Sumosor IT.

The company also has a dedicated R&D team that is focused on growing and improving the products by leveraging innovations.

The company’s TMS solutions offer various features in a scalable web-based environment. TMS is an integrated system that allows customers to manage freight, carrier selection, route grouping, and monitor fleet efficiency. It offers tools that maximize efficiency and reduce costs, time, and effort in product shipping and logistics. The features provided include strategic freight planning functionality, route optimization, freight consolidation, and so on.

Sumosor IT also offers a cloud-based Warehouse Management System (WMS) that is designed to meet the needs of businesses in manufacturing, 3PL, retail, electronics, and so on, to bridge the gap between the company’s ERP system and their WMS operational requirements. It increases the efficiency of the warehouse by managing all operations in a warehouse including receiving, putaway, loading, and so on. Some of the features of this solution include Bill of Material, Kitting, De-Kitting (Unpacking), and VAS.

SCsof Suite 7, one of the leading solutions in the market, has been built from the ground-up leveraging the company’s several years of experience in the supply chain industry. It provides a streamlined system that helps clients make decisions based on current business constraints. It enhances productivity and visibility of logistics activities. The suite combines business principles with state-of-the-art technologies to optimize and transform business processes.

Sumosor's Track Alert Mobility App allows users to monitor and manage the distribution of goods and labor productivity with dynamic alerting remotely from any Android device. The app, along with TMS, provides real-time and accurate information on ongoing distribution processes for issues that pop up to be handled on the spot.

“Our plan for the next five years is to grow regionally into some of the APAC countries because our customers are happy with us and some of them actually push us to get some implementation in the APAC region,” adds Warouw while talking about the roadmap. Additionally, the company also looks at new supply chain trends that they can embed into their software to offer better control and monitoring for faster logistic operations.
