TEKID: Bringing Customers up to Cyber-Snuff, And to Tackling the Risks of Operating in the Cyber Space

,Maxime Oliva, CEO and Co-Founder, Alain Foulon, Managing Partner and Co-Founder, TEKIDMaxime Oliva, CEO and Co-Founder, Alain Foulon, Managing Partner and Co-Founder
Nowadays, corporations require business intelligence and in-depth strategic responses. Such responses require a multi-pronged approach that is still, in many cases, not embraced or even considered. Such is the case as far as cyberspace is concerned: approaches mainly remain either technical or legal, without genuine concertation or cooperation between the two, and often with little consideration for other fields (such as operations, sales and marketing, HR, etc.). More often than not, one ends up with partial and siloed information, leading to rigid answers with blind spots that do not necessarily fulfill organizations’ requirements and strategies. It can also have a reverse effect and, instead of support and protection, get the organization in hot water.

A holistic approach to Digital Security is at the core of TEKID’s business and success. Since its inception, TEKID has surrounded itself with experts from different backgrounds and areas of expertise, whose natural approach is to work collaboratively, with a willingness to pool their skills, value, and learn from each other. This translates into a synergy between Tech, Legal, and Operations, which offers a 360o unified, effective high-level approach and expertise to our customers that few companies possess internally or use.

Indeed, TEKID’s experts approach each case together from every angle (strategic, operational, technical, legal, etc.), identifying and analyzing the situation, in order to gain a global understanding of its context, specific problematic, and its impacts at all levels and in every department of an organization.

“TEKID’s customers have always valued our expertise as an outlier which provides them with applicable and comprehensive solutions that cannot be found on the market. And our solutions are designed to be the most adequate, least-disruptive technological, operational, organizational, and strategic solutions,” points out Maxime Oliva, CEO and co-founder of TEKID.

And as Alain Foulon, managing partner and co-founder of TEKID, outlines, “The ability for our experts to put our activities in layman’s terms is key to sharing knowledge and delivering our customers with an exact and genuine understanding of complex problems—therefore truly helping them.”

TEKID provides a range of consulting and engineering services, specializing in Compliance, Information Security, and Forensics which are tackling the three core levels of Digital Security, namely Prevention, Detection, and Response.
"We are, today, frequently approached by customers to help them market their security and compliance level, through different certifications or programs, as it is more and more a business advantage and can be leveraged against the competition"
For instance, one of the world leaders in Exhibition management mandated TEKID to oversee the ‘digital’ due diligence prior to the acquisition of a critical platform for their business. Highlighting the main discrepancies in a highly regulated environment, TEKID further pointed out digital risks—current and future—pertaining to data privacy and ICT security, operations, and business continuity, among others. TEKID further identified missing licenses to lawfully operate the platform based on the shared strategic development plan of the customer.

TEKID’s in-depth analysis and holistic approach helped the customer better negotiate with the vendor and better prepare for securing the platform and corresponding operations, considering the reps and warranties of the envisioned acquisition.

Finally, to stay ahead of the curve, TEKID implements the most effective, state-of-the-art tools. TEKID has further been involved, from the beginning, in lobbying activities to anticipate, comment, and work on ICT and Cyber Security policies together with different authorities’ bodies across the globe. Cyber governance (be it for ICT, data, AI, etc.), which is and always will be a cornerstone in market maturity, will only increase with time and needs to be understood to adapt with agility.

Digital security is often considered as a costly endeavor which companies often engaged only to comply with regulations, whereas it can be a profit center. As Maxime further explains, “We are, today, frequently approached by customers to help them market their security and compliance level, through different certifications or programs, as it is more and more a business advantage and can be leveraged against the competition,” where Foulon adds, “More traditionally we have helped customers for years to unveil and fight fraud or IP theft in their organization, which generated direct and massive losses.”
