Unified Service: Facilitating Cloud Collaboration in Association with Salesforce

Eiji Uda,Chairman & CEO, Unified ServiceEiji Uda, Chairman & CEO
A recent Gartner report states that the global public cloud services market is expected to grow 18 percent in 2017 to total $246.8 billion, up from $209.2 billion in 2016, while another study conducted last year reports that over $1 trillion in IT spending will be directly or indirectly affected by the shift to cloud during the next five years. These figures clearly state that businesses are laying immense focus on formulating cloud-first strategies considering the benefits associated with them such as agility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Even though businesses across the globe see great value in moving to the cloud owing to these factors, they find it difficult to integrate their legacy systems into the cloud. This critical need is the center of operations for Tokyo, Japan based Unified Service. “Together with Salesforce, we deliver a complete portfolio of services that combine our technology and deep industry expertise for rapid business implementation thereby reducing the state regulations in the economic sphere,” implies Eiji Uda, Chairman and CEO, Unified Service.

The company offers a corporate portal cloud—Unisrv. With Unisrv as the center, Unified Service integrates public clouds, private clouds, and on-premise systems used by the clients. Unified Service enables its clients in single sign-on, access control, customized and persona-lized correspondence. The system further helps in Liferay operational maintenance and in construction of Liferay and integrated customer owned directory system.

Unified Service’s portal solution proficiently serves SMBs for intra company collaboration. “We have two aspects to offer solutions to our customers.

Together with Salesforce, we deliver a complete portfolio of services that combine our technology and deep industry expertise for rapid business implementation

One is industrial vertical consultant to lead the customer to speed up production of system. Secondly, we listen to our customers’ requirements to leverage cloud,” adds Uda. To get single glass pane view of the customers’ requirements, the company aligns with the customers and then finalizes the most appropriate prototype for them. This helps to reduce the cost of IT and provide services promptly.

Unified Service helps in agile application development and develops applications on top of Salesforce. With its application development solutions, the company caters to the needs of businesses in electric power distribution and home healthcare sectors in Japan. Uda exclaims that the workflow in Japan is going through a radical transformation phase due to which companies are facing various challenges such as lack of skills to build the appropriate system, a process which is both time and cost consuming. For instance, the electric power distribution in the country is deregulated, and many companies look forward to moving to cloud to remain competitive. To deal with this challenge, Unified Service offers best of breed solutions, enabling government deregulation of Japan.

The company holds the capabilities to work on both architecture and application together, in house to make sure its system is best to be used with Salesforce and delivers maximum performance. Citing an example, Uda illustrates the company’s association with one of its clients, Bocchan Electric Power. Unified Service assisted the client with standard electric power distribution system as SaaS and step by step function expansion with Unified Service CIS. The company has had numerous such successful implementations for its clients. A client’s testimonial that authenticates its repute in the industry reads, “We are happy to select Unisrv Portal and Web information distribution technology as it brings more value in our offerings.”

Uda emphasizes that most of the state of the art technology happens in United States such as Saleforce. Some of them are not good but some of them have grown rapidly. One of the things Uda is trying to do is to bring those new technologies to Japan and deliver the benefits to Japanese customers especially in electric power distribution area and home healthcare arena with solar panel, Unified Service intends to bring greater opportunity in electric power distribution in Japan. “We believe in transforming business system with cloud; enabling government deregulation and em-powering businesses to grow,” concludes Uda.
