Unlimit: Leading the Evolution of Indian IoT Landscape

    Juergen Hase,CEO, UnlimitJuergen Hase, CEO
India is rising as a prominent hub for a robust developer environment in the world. Today, with an increasing popularity of the digital universe in the area, a significant part of the country’s corporate is picking up on the trending IoT, and the start-up culture. The evolving market for IoT-powered businesses is flourishing in a new light with a shared interest of the government to invest. In the developing economies of India and China, IoT applications take a very fundamental and diverse approach, serving as end-to-end solutions that serve a basic but wide range of sectors.

Starting on this path and building an organization around it, Unlimit has established its mark in the Indian corporate landscape as a business unit that solely focuses on IoT. Backed by India’s leading conglomerate, Reliance Group, Unlimit is driven by an in-depth knowledge of the Indian market and an unparalleled expertise of IoT implementations ranging from connectivity to application development and analytics. Dr. Matthias Wurster, VP Marketing and Business Development, Unlimit, says, “We tailor our products in such a way that suits the specific requirements of the Indian market.” The company’s key offerings are primarily designed to address the B2B markets of sectors like Automotive, Transportation & Logistics, Infrastructure, Public Utility, BFSI, Healthcare and Smart Cities.

Unlimit strives to add value to its products through strategic partnerships with established IoT stakeholders such as Cisco Jasper, Cumulocity, and IBM Watson. “We have been extremely fortunate in selecting the best-in-class partners who are cloud-based and compatible to work with from a connectivity point-of-view,” adds Juergen Hase, CEO of the firm. The Cisco Jasper platform is currently employed by more than 4000 companies worldwide. This makes it easier for any of these external players leveraging the functionality of the Cisco Jasper platform to enter and adapt to the Indian market.

We tailor our products in such a way that suits the specific requirements of the Indian market

With the help of this platform, Unlimit has been a gateway for foreign OEMs and Automotives seeking to expand their market in India.

Cisco Jasper supports Unlimit’s Connectivity Management Platform, Unlimit Control, which helps organizations to transform into a “Connected Device Business.” It provides real-time network connectivity feeds, service diagnostics and unique automation options to enable unparalleled visibility and control. Unlimit Control enables its customers to get to market faster, scale, manage operational costs and achieve high service reliability. The company’s proprietary Unlimit Starter Kit assists its clients to get started with Unlimit Control and get a firsthand experience of the platform. Unlimit Enablement (powered by Cumulosity) is another product offered by the company which provides customers with pre-existing widgets and code blocks to quickly create a compelling UI to display, analyze and reports collected IoT sensor data. It makes it easy to create advanced dashboards and alerts that can be displayed on any device. Thus enabling the customers to focus on their core competency without having to learn or invest in developing a new skill set.

Along with the products mentioned above, Unlimit is also pursuing all of the major IoT verticals. However, in particular, they have two primary product families: Unlimit Tracking and Unlimit Monitoring. The Unlimit Tracking family has a variety of vertical solution products for tracking the position and status of mobile assets like Parcels, Trucks and Heavy Equipment. Unlimit Monitoring has vertical solution products to monitor fixed assets like Fluid Tanks, Transformers and Diesel Generators.

The customer-centric business aspect of Unlimit is further complemented by the innovative and adaptable work culture of the company. A unique blend of national and international professionals bring world-class market experience and technology expertise, constituting the right mix to address the IoT arena in India. The roadmap ahead for Unlimit lies on its advances towards optimizing connectivity, building a partner ecosystem and incorporating data privacy and the security elements within its IoT solutions. The company’s innovative journey is ready to embark into reinforcing its IoT portfolio with analytics and cognitive and machine learning applications. In the coming few years, Unlimit’s IoT ventures are all set to cater one of the world’s most rapidly growing economies and a hugely diversified market segment.
