Making Enterprise Collaboration Easy

One of the biggest challenges organizations face is addressing the convergence of the AV/ VC world into the IT and telecommunications world. Accommodating the data volumes inherent with AV/VC onto legacy networks coupled with the disparate set of technology standards in the AV/ VC world makes it challenging for IT departments to integrate the systems onto their networks fully. Another significant challenge is deploying systems across the diverse spectrum of the APAC market. Being able to deliver and maintain high-quality services across the various countries that have different levels of infrastructure maturity and government controls and restrictions is always a challenge that needs to be addressed. Set against this backdrop is Vega Global, one of the largest System Integrators and Managed Service Providers for Audio-Visual Solutions, Video Conferencing, and Collaboration Technologies in the APAC region. The company designs, implements, and supports solutions across all industries to improve the way businesses compete, operate, and communicate. "We are one of the largest and most reliable System Integrators in APAC. With more than 100,000 projects delivered worldwide, we are the preferred partner of enterprises and Fortune Global 500 companies," states Matthew Deayton, Global Business Development Director of Vega Global.

"We have a team of network, collaboration, installation, testing and commissioning engineers to offer seamless implementation"

As a Cisco Telepresence Video Master Multinational Authorized Technology Provider (ATP), Vega Global deploys solutions that adhere to the global standards for its clients anywhere in APAC and Europe. By utilizing the expertise in AV and IT industry, it can even help the clients to integrate different kinds of product brands into a single platform. "Further to the collaboration, AV, and IT solutions that we deploy, we can offer a full managed services contract, maintenance and break-fix services, and a 24x7 support center.
These services ensure that our clients' systems are fully operational and well utilized throughout their life cycle," mentions Deayton.

We are one of the largest and most reliable System Integrators in APAC. With more than 100,000 projects delivered worldwide, we are the preferred partner of enterprises and Fortune Global 500 companies

However, before doing any integration, Vega Global follows some steps to understand its clients' requirements. First, the company goes through an exploratory process to understand the clients' needs, so that a tailored solution to fit their expectations can be specified. After that, Vega Global provides a full project deployment service for the solutions agreed on, and follow up by a full spectrum of ultimate test. "We have a team of network, collaboration, installation, testing and commissioning engineers to offer seamless implementation," remarks Deayton.

Established in Hong Kong in 1986, Vega Global began as a local distributor of AV equipment. However, over the years, the company has grown steadily with a well-established global platform consisting of 21 offices in 16 countries, mainly in APAC. With over 33 years of experience in the industry, the company has served over 20,000 clients worldwide. "Most of the time, clients are looking for a one-stop solution provider that can address all the technical issues at hand. Some of them do not know how to identify the appropriate collaboration solutions that they should have, so we customize the solutions to fit their needs," remarks Deayton.

In an instance, Vega Global did a project for a Multinational Logistics Company in Hong Kong. The client was using different types of Video Conferencing solutions for different kinds of meetings and wanted to integrate these solutions into one unified communication platform. They also wanted to keep their existing Immersive Telepresence Unit and to integrate it with the new version. The client commissioned Vega Global, who gathered all the necessary information and decided to use the Cisco Platform as the core solution. The company added some programming to combine the call processing; and at that moment, there is no similar case in APAC, and so Vega Global needed to troubleshoot everything themselves. Since the company can only test the integrated solutions between 2 am to 6 am every day as they need to make sure that the immersive telepresence room would not be used in the UK and HK, Vega Global formed a special team to follow up the testing with the client. "After a month of testing and fine-tuning, we successfully combined all video endpoints into our platform without any audio/video issues," says Deayton.

On the growth front, Vega Global continues to evolve and widens the array of solutions and services they provide. The company is planning to extend its footprints in the existing regions as well as increasing its geographical reach by expanding in new markets. The next location is Thailand, where the company expects to be fully operational by the end of 2019. "We are also expanding the verticals that we support while we continue to maintain our services offering for multinational firms. We are also growing our client base into the hospitality and retail markets," concludes Deayton.
