The increasing speed of e-commerce development in China has hastened the adoption of mobile internet technology and cloud solutions. The challenge in a dynamic and fragmented logistics market lies in small carriers that have no systematic operations and poor visibility in their supply chain. Meng-Huai Chen’s work experience with several MNCs along with her vision and guidance for the China logistics industry aided her to set up vTradEx, a logistics hybrid cloud company focused on the Chinese market to address these challenges. To help organisations trade efficiently, vTradEx has developed a hybrid system, offering logistics information services.

vTradEx is a one-stop shop that provides end-to-end private and public cloud solutions in Order Management, Transportation Management, Warehouse Management, Route Optimization, and Billing Management. vTradEx’s deep understanding of supply chain execution issues in China and utilisation of advanced techniques to solve problems in both e-commerce and brick-and-mortar arena has made the company a leading provider in the industry. Moreover, the reduction in the price of mobile internet and smartphones increased the usage of smartphones by most drivers, giving vTradEx the opportunity to launch cloud TMS and e-HUB.

vTradEx works towards the establishment and operation of a logistics ecosystem with a list of products that includes elOGOMS, eLOG TMS, eLOG WMS, eLOG LFCS, eLOG ROS, and 56 linked. elOGOMS forms the control tower for the logistics, while eLOG LFCS bills the revenue and cost for transportation and warehouse.

To help organisations trade efficiently, vTradEx has developed a hybrid system, offering logistics information services

eLOG ROS optimises vehicle routes while dealing with vehicle capacity, temperature zone of the vehicle for cold chain delivery, and other complicated operational constraints.

The company’s eHUB platform, a cloud-based open EDI for small and medium-sized carriers con-nects Shippers’ systems, Carriers’ TMS, Express delivery companies’ systems, and the vTradEx cloud TMS through standard interfaces.

“The eHUB acts as a bridge that connects the private cloud and the public cloud to form a hybrid cloud system that provides end-to-end visibility across the entire supply chain,” says Meng-Huai Chen, President, vTradEx. The platform helps trading part-ners to get connected to each other on a single interface. vTradEx’s 56 linked cloud TMS is a public cloud SaaS solution that allows multiple clients to define their trading relationship with their business partners and has Web and mobile functions to help trace shippers via mobile GPS.

vTradEx’s eLOGWMS system developed on JAVA with embedded Workflow Engine and Rules Engine forms the company’s flagship product developed to tackle the unique challenges of warehouse management, generally dealing with high-volume SKU and orders. Apart from catering to Fortune 500 companies as well as Chinese state-owned and Chinese private companies, the company also helps drivers with store delivery, ePOD photo capture, and real-time upload. vTradEx has clients in automotive, retail, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, consumer electronics, e-commerce, FMCG, and 3PL.

vTradEx’s success shows in Walmart’s and Amazon’s adoption of vTradEx’s eLOG TMS to manage their carriers’ order allocation, KPI analysis, and billing. Listed on the new National Equities Exchange and Quotations, vTradEx is the one of the earliest logistics information technology company to be listed in China. The company is now focusing on the use of AI and big data technology to enhance their route optimisation software as well as the OMS Control Tower that provides intelligent decision support. “With our latest version 5.0, we have become the largest logistics hybrid cloud provider in China with a larger installed base than our competitors,” adds Meng-Huai.

Adexa, vTradEx Partnership to Create End-to-End Supply Chain Planning Solution

The joint solution addresses supply chain business processes from network optimization to supply chain planning, factory scheduling, warehouse management, and transportation management, including last-mile delivery.

Adexa partnered with vTradEx to create a complete solution for supply chain planning and execution.

“The combined solutions provide end-to-end supply chain planning and execution that is fully integrated both horizontally and vertically,” says Cyrus Hadavi, CEO of Adexa. “We are very excited about this new partnership that provides AI-powered and intelligent solutions to synchronize the planning and execution of supply chain operations.”

“Using the power of Adexa Genies, we are now in a position to perform real-time planning and execution by receiving messages and exception signals from the warehouse and transportation systems to almost instantly re-plan the supply chain and operations,” says Meng-Huai Chen, president of vTradeEx. “The ability to perform planning and execution in real-time requires intelligence to understand the impact of events and then re-plan accordingly. This is a whole new level of supply chain operations.”
