Zygy: Actionable Insights for Maximum Outcomes

In today’s digital world, organizational success depends on informed and accurate decisions. To that end, profiling can be an effective tool to understand the concerns of the target audience and gain insights into their sentiments. However, traditional profiling on the burgeoning digital data—across the web, mobile, and social media—carried out by a team of analysts often leads to ineffective results and high cost. A proponent of comparative profiling for planning, investigation, research and decision making, Nervesis Sdn Bhd has developed an AI technology that provides actionable insights through comparative profiles. “We overcome the human limitations of short memory and attention span with our AI-enabled technology, Zygy, that takes just 10 minutes to read and to profile 1,000 articles, each with an average of 1,000 words,” states Azhar Kassim B Mustapha, MD & CTO, Nervesis.

A comparative profile compares at least two areas related to a given subject and provides results in the form of positive, negative and neutral sentiment. For example, a comparative profile on the industry will compare the industry issues at two different locations highlighted by the user. The intuitive comparative profiling technology, Zygy, scours every source from the web and social media and builds a four sentence-summary to make way for easy correlation between main points that each source represents. Data presented in the graphical format enhances comparative profiling efficiency. “This way, we improve and accelerate planning and decision making through which our clients can unlock opportunities or become aware of the threats in their subject of interest,” says Mustapha.

We improve and accelerate planning and decision making through which our clients can unlock opportunities or become aware of the threats in their subject of interest.

Zygy is designed from the ground up to emulate human understanding. When a user submits a query through the Zygy Wizard, she or he also provides a time frame during which Zygy performs the analysis. By understanding the profile’s focus through the query, Zygy modifies the question for better search results. Zygy relays the question to multiple search engines, websites, social media, blogs, and forums. From the search results, Zygy extracts textual content by navigating through each link. It uses AI Natural Language Processing (NLP) to analyze texts and generate a comparative profile.

Further, the company’s intuitive solutions for analytics and document intelligence help clients leverage both structured and unstructured data. These solutions access resources such as HR system, CRM system, and Accounting System, websites, and social media. The single sign-on capability improves user experience and ease-of-access.

But how exactly does an individual or an organization benefit with Zygy? A Politician can profile her or his constituency and modify political campaigns to widen support base. A brand management team can use Zygy as a strategic communications tool. An HR department can profile listed candidates more efficiently. Shareholders and their opinions can be categorized effectively on listed companies. The procurement division of a company can segregate the suppliers smartly. Not to mention, financial institutions can determine perceptions of companies, individuals, and shareholders toward targeted stocks. A case in point, Zygy helped a public company not only to identify the segment of its shareholders that was indifferent to the company but also outline its main concerns. With these insights, the company took a pragmatic approach which eventually resulted in the rise in its share value by about 10 percent.

An MIT graduate and owner of two patents, one of which being part of a product that was acquired by Lockheed Martin, Mustapha has big plans for Zygy. Currently analyzing data from freely available sources, Zygy can be expected to analyze information from apps and websites that require login access.
