ARGO Marketing Solutions: An Immersive Approach to Marketing and Sales

A semiconductor equipment manufacturing company, based in Tokyo, was all geared up to make an impressive sales pitch before a potential American customer. However, the sales department soon realized that the language barrier between the two countries might become a serious setback for closing the deal. The Japanese presentation might not receive the intended impact in front of the native English audience. As they were trying to find plausible solutions to overcome this challenge, the company that came to their aid with an innovative AR/VR based digital sales tool is ARGO Marketing Solutions. The digital sales tool also translated the product catalogs and enabled the Japanese salespeople to focus more on building relationships rather than interpreting the descriptions of their products. In the long run, this approach boosted the company’s sales performance as they were able to make more interactive sales pitches.

This is but one of the many successful applications of ARGO’s mixed reality (MR) based solutions. The company’s AR/MR based ‘on-the-spot tools’ are their ultimate harpoons of success when it comes to making engaging sales pitches and offering long-lasting training modules. According to SatoyasuTakita, the CEO of ARGO Marketing Solutions, “We have developed these tools to help Japanese companies in the U.S.—especially the manufacturers—to talk to their customers. Not only can you use a tablet to centrally manage current catalogs, videos, and technical materials. But, by using 3D CAD data or 3D CG, you can get a panoramic view of the intricate parts of a product even if it is not in front of you.” In addition, ARGO’s sales tool has a function that allows a user to enter the content of the meeting by voice input and convert it to Japanese or English, thereby breaking away any form of language barrier.

On the other hand, ARGO also offers a factory support tool using Microsoft HoloLens. As opposed to using 3D CG—which would have been a costly proposition—ARGO has created a cost-effective version of the factory support tool by tracing the eyes of skilled workers and making existing manuals visible.

But, what truly makes ARGO Marketing Solutions a cut above the rest is its in-house team of experts. ARGO’s goal-oriented team of engineers are well-versed with the latest trends and have PhDs focusing on semiconductor manufacturing technology, material technology, and environmental technology. They always understand the latest technology and apply it to marketing.
And markedly, with a passion of passing on these technological capabilities to the next generations, ARGO continually conducts research and development in synergy with its clients to serve them better and for a profitable business in the future.

To further elucidate the solutions, Takita shares a story of a client that maintains heavy machinery in Japan. As the work was complicated, the client needed skilled personnel to train the young workforce. With ARGO coming into the picture, the conventional paper manual was changed to an MR manual using Microsoft HoloLens. As a result, the instructors were no longer needed to physically monitor the young employees. This MR manual subsequently improved the company’s work quality, nurturing young employees, and securing excellent employees.

The company’s AR/MR based ‘on-the-spot tools’ are their ultimate harpoons of success when it comes to making engaging sales pitches and offering long-lasting training modules

With such proven AR/MR based solutions, ARGO is now poised to expand its geographic reach in Japan, the U.S. (Bay Area), and Europe (Milan). Famed American-Austrian educator Peter Drucker once said, “A business is about creating customers, so any business has two basic functions: having marketing and innovation.” Driven by the same zeal, in the coming years, ARGO not only wants to augment its marketing solutions but also bring novel solutions for semiconductor technology, advanced material technology, and environmental technology.
