Axway
Collaboration That Empowers Businesses

Axway
Patrick Donovan, CEO
March 5, 2019: the world’s industry experts descend on Florida for the Imagine Summit 2019. The event was abuzz with excitement as scores of subject matter experts congregated to contribute and experience the intricacies of hybrid integration platform and content collaboration. The Imagine Summit event showcased real-world demos to the world and gave an opportunity to the attendees to learn actively how to grow their businesses via digital transformation. As the hype around future innovations in hybrid integration and content collaboration ebbed and flowed, one company that stood firmly by its maxim ‘Accelerating the future. Together’ was Axway. Molded on the foundation of unlocking digital experiences and opportunities and helping enterprises realize their digital transformation, the Arizona-based Axway designed AMPLIFY, an enterprise-ready integration platform that can combine traditional integration patterns with APIs to accomplish integration in just hours. From idea to execution, Axway’s prowess in API management, B2B integration, content collaboration, and managed file transfer has riddled out the toughest data challenges for over 11,000 organizations in 100 countries.

Taking center stage at the summit, Axway announced and showcased the next crucial release of its AMPLIFY Hybrid Integration Platform. In this iteration of AMPLIFY, Axway’s simplified experience for integration starts with a new AMPLIFY Catalog, uniting integration personas inside and outside of IT. The purpose is to improve the discovery and use of integration services including APIs, microservices, managed file transfer, and EDI integrations to build new applications and innovations. This will ultimately allow new integrations to go live in hours rather than days or weeks.

"Axway Syncplicity is the ultimate solution for businesses that need a centralized digital workplace for their organization, on-premises or in a private or public cloud"

A trailblazer in governing data flow, Axway is a global software company helping customers create exceptional experiences and opportunities by linking individuals, systems, businesses, and ecosystems. Over the past decade, Axway has opened the floodgates for leading organizations around the world with award-winning solutions spanning business-to-business integration, managed file transfer, operational intelligence, API and identity management, and email security.

Also included in the new release are new AMPLIFY Application Integration (iPaaS) capabilities that simplify any combination of cloud and ground deployment and provide upward of 150 prebuilt application connectors to the most popular SaaS applications on the market to quickly accelerate delivery of new integration projects. This frees up integrators outside of IT to concentrate on innovation while IT policy takes care of scaling and security.

As Axway innovates, it also helps empower customers to innovate

Digital Workspace without Borders

When Syncplicity, a well-known secure collaboration and file sharing company, joined Axway in February of 2017, the acquisition allowed Axway to enhance its AMPLIFY platform further. Axway was able to reshape how modern enterprises collaborate and innovate across digital ecosystems. Syncplicity’s enterprise file sync and share (EFSS) expertise in combination with its product excellence enhance Axway’s Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions magnificently by encouraging and supporting greater collaboration among employees, partners, and customers.

In the IT modernization era, Axway Syncplicity is the ultimate solution for businesses that need a centralized digital workplace for their organization, on-premises or in a private or public cloud. It gives organizations the freedom to blaze their own trail of modernization, enabling them in turn to meet their cross-organizational goals. Axway Syncplicity helps build a digital workplace that improves data agility, accelerates workforce productivity, and protects data across a business’ entire digital ecosystem. The Syncplicity hybrid cloud is policy-driven, which gives customers data-storage flexibility in location and type, with total data security and control. By providing the options to retain data on premises, in the public or private cloud, or a combination, the hybrid solution aims to eliminate the “user cloud” threat while still allowing customers take advantage of the cloud.

Catalyst for Transformation

With Axway’s cloud-enabled data integration and engagement platform, leading brands are able to anticipate, adapt and scale better to meet ever-changing customer expectations. Axway’s unified, API-first approach connects data from anywhere, fuels millions of apps, and delivers real-time analytics to build customer experience networks that unite not just employees, but suppliers, partners, and developers into an agile force for innovation that’s as fast and fluid as today’s digital customer.

After the announcement of AMPLIFY’s 2019 release, Axway acquired French start-up Streamdata.io, a software publisher specializing in event-driven API Management. The move was made to gain more momentum in the execution of its strategy by strengthening both its API Management offer and the technological capabilities of AMPLIFY. The acquisition has brought forth two essential additions to the hybrid integration platform. One is event-driven API management, which enables integration and application leaders to transition from supporting request-response APIs to supporting real-time and event-driven use cases. The other is a methodology for the digital transformation journey designed around full lifecycle API adoption and maturity. Since the AMPLIFY platform and its integration capabilities are API-centric, the purpose of adding event-driven support is to accelerate customers’ API innovations. On the flipside, Streamdata.io’s offerings benefit from Axway’s commercial strength and its portfolio of 11,000 customers across the globe.
Leverage the Flexibility of Cloud

As progressive enterprises felt constricted with strictly ground-based EDI/B2B integration solutions, they realized the benefits of moving to a cloud-managed service as well as the prospect of cost reductions and the ability to adapt, compete, and win. Axway’s comprehensive range of integration and data governance cloud services for enterprise customers includes B2Bi, a single, packaged solution for orchestrating B2B transactions on premises, along supply chains, and throughout the trading community. Additionally, Axway’s B2B cloud services pack a range of options that companies can opt for depending on the level of autonomy they desire and their available internal resources. There are two ways that businesses can utilize the integration platform operations. One is a self-service model where companies control certain operational functions while Axway takes hold of deployment in the production environment. The Axway B2Bi platform is so incredibly powerful that, once deployed, the task of managing and maintaining its functionality has to be consistently fulfilled throughout its lifecycle day in and day out to ensure it’s running efficiently. This is where the second option comes in. With Axway’s B2B Cloud Managed Services, businesses delegate B2B integration operations to Axway while retaining access to monitoring so they can follow data flows and messaging. AMPLIFY B2Bi and Axway B2B Cloud Managed Services offer an amalgamation of technologies, processes, and skills ready to handle a client’s B2B integration.

Modern-day healthcare organizations are grappling with having to automate, integrate, and secure the exchange of protected health information (PHI) throughout the healthcare ecosystem while trying to improve the quality of care and contain rising costs. There is an obvious need for services that can securely manage the real-time exchange of business and clinical information to improve the healthcare experience. Axway’s proficiency in governing the flow of data extricated one of its clients, OneHealthPort from the difficulty of managing millions of standardized transactions across its healthcare value chain. OneHealthPort’s goal is to improve efficiency and effectiveness by applying collaborative information technology solutions. Since its creation, the healthcare organization has experienced a significant increase in transaction processing volume. With Axway’s B2B Cloud Managed Service, OneHealthPort was able to ensure the secure and efficient exchange in processing Health Level-7 and other healthcare-specific formatted electronic transactions such as Syndromic Surveillance (SS), Electronic Lab Reporting (ELR), and more. Additionally, Axway’s Cloud API Management Service enabled the healthcare chain to develop, integrate, and manage APIs and Web services on AWS. With a combination of Axway’s B2B Cloud Managed Service and Cloud API Management Service, OneHealthPort was able to offer enhanced services that enable healthcare organizations to securely exchange information by simplifying workflows, lowering risk, and reducing operational costs. “We are a technology company that provides the tools that our customers need to transform their business now and in their future,” says Patrick Donovan, CEO of Axway. “As Axway innovates, it also helps empower customers to innovate.”
