Bridgewell: Bringing Precision to ROI Prediction

    Peilin Chou, CEO
There’s no denying the power of advertising in shaping consumer perceptions and influencing buying decisions. Companies are constantly racing against each other to grow their business through strategic ad placements. A company prioritizes two factors when investing in any online advertisement activity; cost-per-action (CPA) and return on ad spend (ROAS). If they pay a dollar for an advertisement, they want the sales to be considerably higher than that.

Bridgewell is fulfilling this need by bringing financial certainty into ad placement services.

“We assist companies across retail, financial services and e-commerce sectors in profitably generating more orders and improving their business performance with our intelligent real-time bidding, personalized on-site recommendations, and accurate retargeting services,” says Peilin Chou, CEO of Bridgewell.

    Ensuring ROAS Gets Easier

An advertiser must consider multiple factors before bidding for an ad spot. They have to decide the type of product or service to promote on behalf of brands or retailers, the consumer’s buying behavior, and the targeted offer that will generate the desired revenue from a particular ad spot.

These variables would have to be factored into the limitless ad spot possibilities on the website and browsers, in a few milliseconds, to predict consumer decision; a human impossibility. Bridgewell has built a proprietary data management platform (DMP) and demand side platform (DSP) that work in conjunction to simplify this daunting task. Both operate on top of its cloud-based hyperscalable foundation to fulfill real-time bidding requirements, including big data management, reliable prediction, and competitive offers.

The DMP is a sophisticated tagging and segmentation system that tracks and tags user behavior, interests, frequency, and relevance to product attributes, location, and other factors. Consequently, tags and interest labels become more comprehensive and detailed. For example, instead of tagging a user with a simple interest label in movies, the DMP flags their genre-specific interests. It also provides ways to pick and choose user segments, bringing tremendous value for advertisers by finding the target audience.

After data collection and tagging, the platform constantly processes, normalizes, classifies, and refines the data, after which, Bridgewell’s cutting-edge DSP comes into play.

Based on the DMP’s data, the DSP predicts the likelihood of a user responding to a vendor’s product or service, and the price that will get the consumer’s attention.

The high-speed, next-gen platform, with 4,000 modules, uses deep learning techniques on long-term accumulated consumer behavior data to help advertisers evaluate and bid on each available impression for its clients. Conversion rate index (CVRi) is one of the deep learning applications Bridgewell frequently uses for its DSP to sum up a user’s journey in a score. It represents how close the user is to a ‘buy’ action and offers competitive bids compared to its peers. Bringing a consumer through the funnel by shortening the distance between the consumer's interest in buying a product and actually purchasing it is what Bridgewell is good at. This expertise tells why Bridgewell’s ad placement services deliver performance in bringing both buys and effective brand communications for its clients.

Apart from measuring and managing advertisement spending, the ROAS model advocated by Bridgewell provides an advertiser with higher financial certainty while empowering them to make wiser decisions on resource allocations and other business activities.

    The Hallmark of Excellence

The synergy of Bridgewell’s cutting-edge tools and innovative take on ad placement services helps clients across FMCG, healthcare, banking, fashion, consumer electronics, and other industries garner more orders and more ROI.

Yahoo Taiwan, one of the leading one-stop shops for sellers and buyers, is an early adopter of Bridgewell’s cutting-edge solution. Peter Lin, its managing director, attests, “Bridgewell’s world-class AI-based ad technology delivered 60 percent more on our initial ROAS target, and their competitive pricing allows better cost control. Bridgewell has helped generate an additional million dollars [NTD] for Yahoo Taiwan.”

Our team of data engineers deploys all its r&d expertise to ensure the system is well-maintained and functional at all times

In addition, Bridgewell takes pride in a decade-spanning partnership with Test Rite International Co., a large retail and trading group that owns Test Rite, HOLA, and HOI in Taiwan. This collaboration covers ad technology, search engine, and recommendation.

“First-time visitors or return buyers, Bridgewell has continuously improved its solutions to help Test Rite secure and grow their clients in these ten years. It delivers in AI-based ad predication and improves complementary solutions like search engines,” says the marketing head of Test Rite.

Bridgewell’s long-term partners also include iProspect, a global digital marketing agency that leverages culture, content, data, and technology to connect businesses to new audiences.
“Bridgewell has been a strategic partner for iProspect for over 10 years,” says Ego Lau, Managing Director of iProspect Taiwan. “We have many joint clients in Taiwan. We appreciate this long-term partnership as Bridgewell always delivers.”

Likewise, an international souvenir brand that has been a long-term partner of Bridgewell experienced ballooning sales with its targeted advertisement services. The sales grew so much that production volume had to be increased. They are now one of the largest souvenir brands in the world. Watsons, Adidas, CLARINS, and OB DESIGN are other notable international brands benefiting from Bridgewell’s ad placement services over the past 20 years.

The Driving Force behind Ground-Breaking Tech

Underpinning Bridgewell’s technological superiority is the team of exceptional data engineers it has nurtured that always work closely with its clients. The brilliant team, comprising many with doctoral degrees, has invested copious time and effort into R&D activities in the last two decades, culminating in its specialized e-commerce advertisement solutions.

“We assist companies across retail, financial services and e-commerce sectors in profitably generating more orders and improving their business performance with our intelligent real-time bidding, personalized on-site recommendations, and accurate retargeting services”

Given the voluminous amount of data processed to automatically deliver the right product to the right consumers, it requires tremendous engineering efforts to keep the system up and running.

“Our team of data engineers deploys all its R&D expertise to ensure the system is well-maintained and functional at all times,” states Chou.
Today, Bridgewell services over 100 million advertisements daily, handling each request in less than 200 milliseconds. Drawing on its enduring legacy, coupled with a commitment to constant innovation, it wants to further augment the capabilities of its offerings and enhance its services.

Companies looking to stay ahead of the curve in a digital world need not look further than Bridgewell. It is determined to continue wielding the power of next-gen technologies and help companies garner more orders, revenue, and success.
