The procurement services market is essential to the construction industry, as it facilitates the efficient delivery of infrastructure projects. In Indonesia, the sector is poised for significant growth due to rapid urbanization and increasing demand for advanced infrastructure from government and private investors. However, the procurement process for such projects is complex, involving numerous stakeholders and regulations, making it challenging to incorporate sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.

The Falga Group, an investment holding company, has developed a comprehensive, multi-step process to ensure sustainable procurement. The first step involves identifying and understanding a project’s requirements. Subsequently, a procurement strategy is formulated, outlining objectives, anticipated outcomes, and supplier selection criteria. During this phase, materials are assessed based on their environmental impact, with preference given to low-emission components and those that can be recycled without harming local ecosystems. In addition, Falga Group considers energy optimization when making procurement decisions.

“Our company has the necessary tools and resources to construct exceptional, large-scale businesses. Our priority is strategic agility, operational excellence, and apperception of market dynamics and business trends,” says Ronald Edy Simamora, CEO and managing partner of Falga Group.
To achieve healthy, sustainable growth within its workforce ecosystem, Falga Group focuses on enhancing capabilities and fostering synergies. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, the company effectively meets its customers’ needs. Falga Group’s unique value system, USEFUL—which stands for uplifting, stewardship, excellence, fluidity, unity, and loyalty—has underpinned its success for nearly four decades. These values foster a positive work environment that encourages growth and cultivates meaningful relationships with clients and vendors.

Amid the rising demand for sustainability across industries in Indonesia, Falga Group has adhered to ISO sustainability regulations, addressing not only environmental practices but also safety, healthcare, and ethical concerns. The company perceives these challenges as opportunities to outpace competitors.

Falga Group adheres to a distinctive sustainability framework, emphasizing employee health and optimizing performance while upholding stringent safety standards. Corporate ethics are also prioritized, with ethical values embedded in the organizational culture. The company takes measures to prevent environmental damage and assesses social impacts in decision-making. This approach involves training local communities in new skills and ensuring construction sites generate social revenue. In addition, Falga prioritizes governance optimization and quality control, complying with ISO procedures and delivering effective services.

Our company has the tools and resources to construct exceptional, large-scale businesses. Our priority is strategic agility, operational excellence, and apperception of market dynamics and business trends.

Pertamina, a Fortune Global 500 company, is among Falga Group’s key clients. Falga was enlisted for a major nationwide project involving the construction of the First LPG tank farm Papua in Jayapura. The project’s commencement during the pandemic presented unique challenges, as aviation restrictions disrupted procurement networks. Nevertheless, due to its established global network, Falga Group successfully coordinated with vendors across borders for assembly, transportation, and other logistics. The project was inaugurated on December 6, 2022.

Falga Group maintains that sharing service performance reports with stakeholders—including customers, shareholders, and personnel—fosters trust and demonstrates the company’s commitment to stability. The company plans to continually refine its sustainable business operations by regularly evaluating performance, pinpointing areas for improvement, and implementing changes to achieve long-term sustainability objectives.
