HONG KONG: China Mobile partners with Huawei to establish LTE-Advanced Pro network to provide ace mobile network connectivity in Hong Kong. The collaboration will transform the existing TD-LTE / LTE FDD network of China Mobile to an upgraded 4.5G network.

China Mobile leverages Huawei’s innovative network technology to provide seamless network infrastructure to their customers. The partnership enables high data speeds and low-latency through the introduction of Network Functions Virtualizations (NFV).

    NFV Technology

NFV is deployed to design and manage networking services to support fully virtualized infrastructure including virtual servers, storage, and other networks. The main function of NFV is to decouple the network function such as firewall and intrusion detection to decrease the use of proprietary hardware needed to operate network services. The technology can be propelled in both wired and wireless infrastructure.

Mr. Sean Lee, Director and Chief Executive Officer of CMHK, says: "After stringent selection processes, we firmly believe that Huawei's world leading network technology and equipment have made it the ideal partner for CMHK's 4.5G network upgrade.  As one of the leading mobile network providers in Hong Kong, CMHK has spared no efforts in network enhancement and technology innovation.  We are very pleased to work with Huawei to upgrade our 4G mobile network to 4.5G for significant network capacity optimization and speed improvement, as well as achieving superior user experience for consumers and commercial customers."
