Google Incorporates Machine Learning into its Calendar App

FREMONT, CA: Google announces the introduction of goals in to its calendar app, to help users achieve their target goals on time. Google Calendar uses machine learning to automatically schedule the goals set by users, learns user’s patterns and ensures the completion of a goal.

Goals help users keep track of, and complete, long-term goals by allocating time automatically for certain objectives.

Google instills machine learning into the calendar app by utilizing the concept of pattern recognition and computational learning theory tohelp make its users' lives easier. It also employs elements of behavioral analytics and sentiment analysis by subtly encouraging users to keep to a schedule they might otherwise avoid.

The Google Calendar enables the setting of goals by an easy and simple method. The user has to only input the goal, and answer a few questions and Google calendar does the rest. Calendar will look at the user’s schedule and finds the best windows to fit that –in time –for that goal.

The calendar app also adjusts to the user’s behavior and habits and adjusts to their preference. Calendar also allows the user to defer a goal at any time, and makes time for it later. The significant feature of the calendar is that the more one uses it the better it schedules their goals and activities.
