FREMONT, CA
The Salesforce Winter '24 release introduces new features and enhancements to Experience Cloud, empowering organisations to create more dynamic, user-centric experiences. The new features for Experience Cloud reflect a growing trend towards personalisation and user-centricity in digital experiences. By empowering them to create more dynamic and tailored experiences, Salesforce is helping them connect better with their audiences.
The Actions Bar component, in particular, is a significant addition to Experience Cloud. It allows them to give their users the ability to create and update Salesforce records directly from their Experience Cloud site without having to switch to a different application. It can streamline workflows and improve productivity for users.
Enhanced Visibility with Expression-Based Rules
Expression-based visibility rules in Experience Cloud enable more flexible control over which components display on pages. Previously, visibility rules were limited to AND and OR operators, but expression-based rules allow a range of operators, including NOT, IN, and BETWEEN. It gives more granular control over where users see components based on their profile, role, permissions, and other factors.
Simplified Component Management with Experience Builder
Synchronised interactions between the canvas and the Page Structure panel in Experience Builder make it easier to find and select components, even in complex layouts. When clicking on a component in the Page Structure panel, the platform will automatically scroll to the component on the canvas and vice versa. Additionally, the label for any selected component will display in full, even for narrow components.
Personalised Experiences with Component Variations
Component variations in enhanced lightning web runtime (LWR) sites allow users to create multiple versions of the same component and use visibility rules to determine which version is displaying to specific users. It is a powerful tool for personalising the Experience Cloud understanding for different groups of people.
Custom Styling with the Style Tab
The new Style tab in the component property panel allows adding custom CSS to any Lightning web component on the Experience Cloud site. It gives more granular control over the styling of individual elements and creates a more consistent and unified look for the site.
Increased Functionality with the Actions Bar Component
The Actions Bar component creates and updates Salesforce records directly from the Experience Cloud site. This component is now available by default in the Components palette on more object detail pages, making it easy to add to the site. It can also customise the style of the Actions Bar to match the site's branding.
The Salesforce Winter '24 release of Experience Cloud provides organisations with new capabilities and improvements to create more dynamic and user-centric experiences. These include expression-based visibility rules, synchronised interactions in Experience Builder, component variations, custom CSS, and the Actions Bar component. Organisations can create more personalised experiences for their customers, partners, and employees with the increased flexibility and tools provided by Salesforce.
