    Marketing is an essential component for businesses of all size and advent of digital marketing has revolutionized the marketing landscape. Traditional marketing has not gone obsolete; merging it with digital marketing ideas can benefit SMEs to gain an edge in the competition. Blending traditional tactics and digital innovations would result in higher customer reach and improved sales.

    Billboards with Geo-targeting

    Unlike the past, billboards have also gone digital in the technological transformation resulting in a much cheaper cost for display of advertisements. Small Medium Enterprises can utilize them to reach customers as still billboards are highly effective and pairing them with geo-targeted ads will leave a much stronger impact on the cohort.

    Digital Magazines

    Magazines have their own reader base, which is still holding its market. Digital magazines are the new concepts towards which the readers are gravitating. Magazines cater readers with niche point of view as a result brands partnered with magazines often receive a boost in trust with the readership. While making advertisements through magazines, the digital audience must also be addressed as there exists a vast base of digital readers. Digital editions, websites, social media, and blogs can be utilized for the same.

    Assistance has always played a key role in the conversion ratio of customers. Brands can integrate live assistance feature on their website as an additional feature. Chatbots are capable to perform a similar job but human assistance makes a psychological impact on the customer building trust with the brand. Moreover, business associate will understand the customer needs better than a bot resulting in higher conversion ratio.

    Merging Online with Offline

    Purchasing goods online saves a lot of time but faces the problem of high return and low customer satisfaction because they are unable to try the product. Facilitating customers to try their desired product offline at home and purchase online would broaden the customer base. Few businesses have already started to incorporate the idea, resulting them in good sales. SME's can restrict such services to certain locations where it is easy to send associates. Also, direct customer interaction has better chances of conversion.

    Organizations can experiment with other ideas as well of merging traditional and digital marketing such as newspapers with online ads, radio with streaming news, and various others.
