The major players in the Smart city industry point out that, in order to build a smart city with the application of 5G integrated with Artificial Intelligence, major hindrance comes from the data. The digitalization of the information coming from 1000 homes, 10 million people, from over an area as wide as 1000 Sq. Km can only be aggregated with the new wide-area wireless network, which can be achieved with the help of the 5G technology. The significant latency, coupled with low latency, offers a broader area for deployment of the data governance as well as computing power. The smart city industry actively acknowledges the necessity of 5G technology in smart city construction process. Smart cities must be backed up by high-speed network connection and cloud security.
