TCS’s collaboration with Brocade, Metaswitch and Ixia combined with the Intel Xeon platforms demonstrates the deployment and verification of Voice over LTE service in virtualized networks. The collaboration promotes the growth of business opportunities, product development and in helping customers to adopt network virtualization.
The integration of Brocade’s virtualized Evolved Packet Core, Metaswitch’s virtualized Internet Multimedia System and Session Border Controller, and Ixia’s IxLoad form the TCS’ NFV Concerto Platform. These integrations enable it to demonstrate voice over LTE services on a virtualized mobile network. The solution is deployed on Intel Xeon processor-based servers leveraging Red Hat’s OpenStack.
“TCS’ NFV ConcertoTM significantly reduces development and test cycle times for virtualized network functions by automating functional, performance, scalability and compliance testing. This solution is a testament to TCS’ expertise on Intel processor-based platforms and OpenStack, understanding of partner VNFs and extensive experience in next generation product engineering technologies. TCS would continue to create such digital solutions and frameworks to accelerate product development cycle and hence creating a differentiator in the marketplace,” says V Rajanna, Vice President and Global Head, Technology Business Unit, TCS.
